The DHI technique is a significant advancement in hair transplant procedures, aiming to achieve optimal density and natural-looking results in just one session. Unlike the traditional FUE method that involves scalp incisions, DHI reduces trauma to the recipient area by using direct implantation with implanter pens.
How is DHI Technique Performed?
Direct Hair Implantation (DHI) is a safe and effective method for achieving natural-looking and denser hair. Similar to the Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE) procedure, DHI starts with hair extraction from donor areas. While the extraction process is similar, variations arise during the implantation stage. Hair grafts are taken from the donor site at the back of the head and from beard when needed utilizing a micro-motor extraction technique. Each graft is then carefully transplanted to the recipient area using specialized Implanter Pens.
